A little over 7 years ago, Kambako was an unknown entity. However, our hunting safaris, run in the Niassa Reserve, are increasingly being labelled one of the best places to hunt in Mozambique. Kambako’s appeal lies in ethical “old” African-type hunting safaris, led by a team of professional and experienced Professional Hunters, yielding exceptional trophies of a very high standard from a range of 23 different species of common and endemic animals native to the Niassa Reserve.
Kambako operates from its two adjacent concessions, notably, Block B / L8 of the Niassa Reserve and the Coutada Nicage of Cabo Delgado Province. Together, the unspoiled miombo woodland concessions total approximately 268,000 hectares (600,000 acres) with 58 kilometres (36 miles) of the western boundary being home to the perennial Lugenda river. In percentage terms, Kambako controls 17% of the Mozambican quota for conservation areas and consequently is a key partner in the conservation of Mozambican wildlife, through hunting safaris.
Kambako is one of the largest and most successful hunting safari operators in Mozambique. Its success is as a result of a committed group of shareholders, PHs, senior and junior staff, working together. A dynamic management team has permitted the hunting staff to focus on giving clients personalized service whilst ensuring operations run smoothly. It is unsurprising that our clients arrive as clients but leave as lifetime friends.
